Default Looking to build 98cobra for boost.

This is my first domestic car. I have owned a few boosted imports and i know the lower the compression the better for boost. Is this true also for the mustangs? I would like to build the motor and still drive on it with stock specs until i can get the supercharger. I will be ordering forged internals, crank, and bearing, in a few weeks. My goal is to run 12-15psi. So my question is (sorry for the rambling) can i get forged internals with stock specs and still run 12-15psi?

Default RE: Looking to build 98cobra for boost.

To run 12-15 lbs of boost, I would order 8.5/1 compression ratio pistons! This will help you achieve your goal of having a boosted application and street driving manors. This is the ratio that all 03/04 cobras come stock with. You can get a good deal on a complete 03 cobra rotating assembly for your block. If I were gonna run a boosted motor in a 4.6, this is the avenue that I would take! This way, you won't have to run high octane race gas just to drive to the store and back. Kenne Bell makes a mean set-up for those years!
