I just bought a '98 SVT Cobra that has already had the T-56 six speed tranny swap. The synchros are going bad and I don't want to drive it too much and blow the trans.

Normal, easy driving/shifting seem O.K. - above 4k RPM and she gets chattery. 6k is about a 1 second shift in ANY gear with alot of chatter. Idling in Neutral I can hear the dull slow churning of the synchros. All of the gears seem to be fine. Reverse is a task.........my wife can't drive it because she can't get it into reverse (I do O.K.) - once in reverse you have to HOLD it there so it won't pop out.

Edit: I got the tranny worked out...............just need to replace the synchros.
