01 Cobra Suspension, help me...
I have a 01 cobra and am not very pleased with how loose the steering is. I don't know if this is a problem with other mustangs and I don't think it is my current stock suspension b/c I had it balanced, checked and so forth. I was looking to get a set of Eibach Pro springs and was wondering if they were really worth the money. Also, I bought the car with the IRS swapped for a solid-rear and am not sure on which kit I should purchase.GT? Any help would be great.

WoW.. I can't believe someone changed out the IRS for a solid axle.. That must have been expensive and for what? I suppose if your pushing 500 HP and you had wheel hop issues then ok but I don't have any wheel hop at all.. Granted I used the gas peddle and have good wide tires so I don't get unwanted tire spin..
Just a bit of advice.. If you do have the solid axle your good to go and you can easily swap the springs your self.. If you still have IRS then your up for something special.. It took me and my brother 2 FULL days of labor to get the job done.. What a huge pain in the *** that was..
Any how, wish you luck..

thanks for the advice! i have no idea why the previous owner put a solid axle in the car, the only other modification besides that was a densecharger intake which was a piece of ****. any idea how to tighten the steering? my steering wheel can turn left/right about 1 inch and not turn the wheels at all. its a real problem when driving on the backroads.

I have a 2001 Cobra as well and the steering feels loose. I had 2000 R 18" rims and tires added as well as Steeda springs. That made it even more noticable. I think the bigger, heavier rims and tires exagerate it a bit to boot. Good luck.
