AFCO 03-04 Dual Fan Upgrade Kit for 80275NDP [AFC80275NFAN] : Lethal Performance, Performance parts for Ford Mustangs

Lethal Performance is proud to now offer the NEW AFCO Pro Series Heat Exchanger with dual fans for the 03-04 Cobra. We're actually the ones behind making this product happen. We knew how well the fanned setups work on the GT500's and Lightnings that it was time to finally offer this type of setup for the 03-04 Cobras.

Dual Fan Technology
The new AFCO 80275PRO heat exchanger used a pair of Spal fans to always keep air moving across the fins of the heat exchanger. Not only do the fans help when the car is moving slow in city or traffic driving but they continue to run even when you're at a stop. Traditionally when you're at a stop no air is passed through the fins of the heat exchanger. That's when the intake air temps go up. With the new dual fan setup there is always air being passed through the fins of the heat exchanger so the fluid in the intercooler system will not only stay cooler but won't rise as fast as it would if the fans weren't there.

Another great thing about the heat exchanger with fans is for when you take the car to the dragstrip. After you run the car down the track the intercooler fluid heats up quite a bit. When that happens the PCM typically pulls timing. So before you make another run you want that fluid to cool as much as possible so your next run isn't with lower timing. All you need to do in order to cool things down is wire in a switch that allows you to turn both the fans and intercooler pump on while the engine is off. What this does is circulate the hot fluid in the system while pulling air across the fins of the heat exchanger. This cools the fluid very quickly and by the time you run the car again your intercooler temps will be at ambient temperature.

The Pro Series Heat Exchanger is significantly larger and built as a DOUBLE PASS design. The new double pass design incorporates a 360 degree welded baffle to prevent any internal coolant bypass. These baffles force coolant through the top half of the heat exchanger and then the bottom half, giving the heat exchanger the opportunity to dissipate heat twice. Using this unit provides a cooler, more stable coolant temperature to the intercooler even when the engine is being pushed to its limits. This process provides more consistent performance on the street and lowers ET times at the strip.

The AFCO Pro Series all aluminum heat exchanger core is over 28. This AFCO PRO-Series Heat Exchanger has by far the largest cooling coverage out of all of the heat exchangers on the market for the 03-04 Cobra. This product is designed to fit perfect and bolt right on..

Cooler intake temperatures mean more power. It is just that simple. However, providing your engine with cool air to breathe becomes even more difficult when forced induction is involved.

Ford's potent supercharged V8 is no exception. This is why Ford designed a separate intercooling system for the supercharger on their popular F150 Lightning and Cobra Mustang.

The Ford system utilizes a heat exchanger mounted low in the front grill, which is very similar to a small radiator. Coolant flows separately from the main engine cooling system and circulates internally through the intercooler beneath the supercharger.

While the factory supercharger cooling system is adequate in stock configuration, it struggles to keep up with the multitude of popular modifications that not only deliver more power, but also increase the stress and strain on the engine.

To combat the power loss by excessive heat build up in the supercharger and intake system, AFCO focused on upgrading the weakest component in this cooling system: THE HEAT EXCHANGER.

AFCO Heat Exchangers are considerably larger than their stock counterparts. This provides a greater surface area and more capacity. AFCO Heat Exchangers reduce supercharger coolant temperatures by more than 40 degrees.

True Bolt-In Installation

No Cutting No Drilling No Welding No Headaches

AFCO Heat Exchanger installation only requires simple hand tools and approximately 30 minutes. All needed hardware (except replacement fluid) is included, along with detailed instructions.

Easy Bolt-In Installation
AFCO Heat Exchangers mount in factory locations with no drilling, cutting or fabrication of any kind “ a TRUE BOLT-IN.

Regains Lost Power
By more effectively cooling intake temperatures, AFCO Heat Exchangers keep the air entering the combustion chamber cooler and more dense, even in high-demand situations.

Allows for More Consistency
After hard acceleration, especially in drag racing applications, AFCO Heat Exchangers allow the supercharger to cool faster and remain at a constant temperature, which means power delivery is more consistent.

Optimized Design
Using years of experience, advanced design, and thorough testing, AFCO Heat Exchangers are designed to promote optimal air flow and cooling by utilizing appropriate fin count, tube size, core thickness, and fin serration for each particular application.

Quality Construction

Of course, as an AFCO product, quality is second to none. AFCO Heat Exchangers are TIG welded and feature furnace brazed cores with no epoxy. Each unit is pressure-tested before it is shipped.
