Hey guys; Im just wondering what the differences are between the 1994 Cobra and GT are. What about the suspension, engine and power is different. Do both have the same engine but the Cobra is just a little more beefed up?

The reason why I am asking is because I am looking at a 1994 GT with cobra emblems and crap all over it (I would remove those personally) and its about $6000. It has 107,000 miles and needs some TLC for the visual part (Interior and Exterior.) The engine needs a tune and needs to be leaned out a bit (I swear gas is running from the exhaust at idle!) The guy selling it said it was owned by his grandson and he took it away from him because he got too many tickets in it. Well his grandson has done some mods to it such as full length headers, no cats, what sounds to be like Series 40 flows and from there I dont know what else he has done. The intake looks stock and the plenum is 100% stock in appearance. The car looks like it has not been lowered so I doubt there is no suspension mods.

Now if there isnt any difference between a GT and Cobra block aside from a few small (interchangable) things then I will probably get the GT. If there is a difference such as perhaps 4V heads on the Cobra then I will just wait out for a Cobra. I know the cobra for 94/95 has 220hp as well, not sure on the torque. Anyone know what the 94/95 GT was knocking out?

94/95 cobra was rated at 245 hp, actually had 270, while the gt had 215. and 6000 for a 94 gt with that 107000 miles on it, is HORRIBLE. especially since it needs some tlc. your ripping yourself a new ******* if you buy it

kinda figured so, thanks for the advice. I have seen 96-98 Cobra's go for 7 and 8,000 so I was just wondering. It was all the cobra stuff on the car that drew me in at first because I thought it was a cobra, just a clone though.

Is there anything more I should know about the Cobra's for those years?

Iw as in the same situation. I bnought a 94 cobra w/60k in perfect condition with full saleen suspension and exhaust for 7 grand. Id find yourself a new deal and a cobra. Its got the bigger intake, gt-40 heads, bigger cam profile 13 inch rotars in front its way nicer...
