96 cobra questions need h
<IMG src=smileys/smiley4.gif border="0">hey guys i am new to the svt family!!!! i work for a dealership in huntsville al.i recently traded for a 96 cobra convertible 5 spd w/21000 miles i could'nt resist. i was wondering if you guys could give me some advice on exhaust, pulleys, chips, gears, what is most power for the money????? thanks, brian shelor <edited><editID>96 cobra</editID><editDate>37788.5421296296</editDate></edited>

Steeda pulleys are a good bang for the buck, and you should probably go ahead and get the timing adjuster with them at the same time. I have the magnaflow magnapack exhaust and it sounds really good. Gears are also a must have mod, but you might want to look into getting 4.10's instead of 3.73's on the cobra. Congrats on the buy and you will spend many years forking over cash for go fast parts. It gets addicting.

go with3.73. i have 99 cobra not happy with 4.10 82mph. @ 3000rpms. a little to much for my liking 1ST. gear is to short also.hits rev limter before you can shift to 2ND. gear install 62mm t.b.pulleys anyones are good street pulleys. mac long tube headers o/r/pipe mac back system. car dynoed at 298H.P.@6200rpms and 99 where down on power that year.</P>
