Default What are the best mods?

ok so I've had my 03 Cobra for a couple of months now and I'm finally bored with the power not to say it sucks or anything I'm absolutely in love with it, I like most people just want more power. I have looked at Steeda 2.80" pulleys and Billetflow 2.76" as well as the Diablosport tuner, I already have an intake but it's not the 9" open style. Should I stick with the thru the fender style? how about the Steeda pulleys are they good, or is billet flow better. What about the Diablosport tuner? I also thought about getting an offroad X pipe. Should I keep the cats? will it be too loud and raspy without them? Should I just skip the foreplay and get a Kenne Bell? Please someone point me in the right direction!

if you got the cash go with the KB but if you are just looking for a little more kick the 2.8 or 2.76 pulley will give it to ya. i just got done putting the 2.76 on mine tonight, and took a ride in one with a 2.81 and man did it feel sweet. i personally went with the billet flow pulleys because i have heard they are the best way to go and they look sweet in the car to boot.

Go with the kenne bell if you have the money. A fenderwell CAI makes more power than a RAI. Its more of a pain to install and take off for cleaning.

If you are going to get a pulley/tuner, I'd HIGHLY recommend you get an upgraded heat exchanger as opposed to spending the money on an x-pipe for now. The pulley will create an enormous amount of heat. Don't do like me and not make it a priority. You'll save your engine and get some power too. As far as mods, the pulley/tuner is going to give the highest increase out of the bolt ons. But again, you will need the H/E. Don't forget, once you add more power, the wheel hop demons will haunt you, so don't forget about IRS bushings, hard launch bar, and diff cover plate. A set of drag radials wont hurt either.

Thanks alot for the advice guys, I think I'll go with the billet flow pulley but where can I get one? their website is kinda weird to me. Do you know of anyone that sells a package deal (pulley, belt & puller) what about the tuner should I go Diablosport or SCT?

i ordered my whole setup from lethal performance. theres a link to it on this site. got the 2.76 with the 3 100mm and 1 92mm idler setup. just got a gates belt at nappa. i got the 74 5/8" to fit but it was extremely tight so you may be wanting to stick with a 75" belt. as far as the tuner it's up to you but you may want to check with some of your local tuning shops. i know some around here will only deal with one type or the other so do whats convienient for you imo. you can also call the number on billitflow.com and order over the phone. you can get a puller from them also.

Thanks alot for the info guys, I ended up going with th BF 2.76 pulley w/ 4 pulley idler and the Diablosport Predator. I just got my BBK X pipe on this afternoon.....it sounds good at 1/2 to full throttle a little raspy from 1000-2000 rpm and in gear deceleration like I guessed. feels a little quicker. I'm still undecided on it, I'll wait till I get the other parts before I get a different exhaust set-up.

We can help you out with any parts man, I personally would recommend the Reichard Racing Idlers and Ultra-Grip Pulley. Either way Billetflow is good, but give me a call if you have any questions and I will steer you in the right direction. We have a Twin Turbo setup now on our 03, so we arent new to these cars.
