Default 96-98 cobra's being underrated?

i was just wondering if anyone has any info on the 96-98 cobras to see if they were underrated at all. i have seen how all these camaro's and the 03/04 cobras that have been underrated but i have not found anything on my 97 cobra. i think they even said the 94-95 cobras were underrated. so i was just wondering if anyone could let me know if mine is underrated at all and by how much. thanks

Default RE: 96-98 cobra's being underrated?

I am not too sure of what your question is... But if I got ya right... Most all car's HP ratings are conservative to allow for slight variances in actual HP due to the tolerances allowed in the manufacturing of production vehicles... Even though the cobra has a hand built engine, the motor is still "production" and will vary from one to the other slightly... If you don't have all of the stock "claimed" numbers and vehicle info, I am attaching a site (one of my favs as it closely resembles my cobra) that may be of some use... sorry I don't have any dynamometer numbers for different stock vehicles as most people only get that done when they start modding, but maybe this stuff will help.
