Default known tranny probelms with t-45

I bough my cobra off of my bro. I knew it needed some work.....but not this much. It has a steeda tri ax shifter, sub frame connectors, cai, 3:73, flowmaster cat-back, and extrude honed intake, as well as a computer tune. Ok the clutch was gone. I bring it to my buddy who owns a drag racing shop. We put in the new clutch. Everything is ok. Then we go to put the tranny back in and we notice the sleave that is around the main tranny shaft has been broken off......wtf. We noticed it had been like this for a while you could not tell because the sleeve was never out of place. anyway we put the tranny back in as is. It rattled like a mother. I called our local mustang repair shop and they said this was common. Was it .... is there any other problems i should know about in the t45

another known problem with the t45 is the shift forks... they are weak and you can bend them shifting hard. that is why it is important to adjust the stops correctly on the shifter
