Slight Hesitation at 3300 RPM?
I have a BONE STOCK 97 Cobra with 44K on it. When I get on it (not hard) I have noticed a slight hesitation around 3300-3500 RPM. I notice it mostly in second and third gears. The rest of the RPM range is very smooth. But if I stand on it hard I don't notice it. To my knowledge the plugs and wires have never been replaced. Any ideas on what this could be??

Right at 3200 to 3300 you should notice a slight increase in HP... When the air is cool and I am getting on it, it is really noticeable... Are you sure that it is hesitation and not just an instant increase in HP? I think that it is the latter as I have two 97s and both of them really only start making horse power at that point. If you look at your throttle body in front of the intake, you will notice that there are two side by side. Under 3250 RPMs you are only running with one of them open... after that the other opens up and you get a good increase in air, and consequently power (all happens pretty fast, so you will definately notice it).
Here is a great site for the information about the car... if you look close, what I am talking about is in there. http://home.pon.net/hunnicutt/97CobraSpecs.htm

+1 that is what I was going to suggest. Mine is also hesitating but around 5 grand for me. My IMRC are not opening and I just cleaned them for some reason the actuator is not opening mine.[:@]
In case you don't know what they are. There is a plate in between the intake and the heads that has butterfly valves on it that are supposed to open at 3250 rpm's to let more air to get to the engine.
