i was just basing it on 1/4 times, which is an odd comparison because the STI is all about launches and the cobra can pull harder up top. so i guess "walk away" was the wrong phrase, but an sti should beat a cobra stock for stock in the 1/4.

I call BS on this one, just as everyone else. This had to be a 750 moped or something. I can pull a 600 on a roll from 80 - 130, but that's about it. A 750 is in a different league, hell, all the rider has to do is gun the throttle, no skill involved there.

i own a 02 yamaha r-6 with afew things done to it, there has not been a car close to beating me. i can do around 85 in second gear, even from a high punch a supercharged cobra would not stand a chance(unless it passed me when i topped out at about 170 and i am not seeing that happen)

exactly. It will take about 600 rwhp to take out any 2000+ 600cc sport bike. 10s are 10s no matter how u cut it, and it will take more than a ported eaton to get there. Now, there is something to be said for ur average rider not being able to push the bike at high speeds. ive tried with the damn things. no matter what speed you are at, once I get on the pipe I scare the hell out of myself. if any of u guys have basic modded cobras and are walking bikes at high speeds it is much more due to the fact that the rider cant hack it, rather than outperforming his machine. aside from that, the beginning of the race wont be all that different as bikes cant launch for sh*t either (u guys think ur IRS is so bad... try liftin the wheels through the first 2 gears if u dont watch out ).

Everyone. Sorry I haven't been to this forum for a while, but just to clarify all your arguements, I was talking about a BMW 750, not bikes. Come on, bikes? Bikes are ridiculous, it's a different level. Two of my friends both have 06 bikes and they always brag about smoking me and I just laugh cause bikes are just on a differnet level of speed.

And I have gone with an 06 Sti from a roll and I was ahead about a car length for 5 seconds, then stoplight.

I probably missed something, but if you're talking about a 750 bike vs 01 cobra...the cobra will get it's @$$ HANDED to it. A friend of mine has an 06 Ninja 636 (might be a 626..i'm not a bike guy) bone stock and @$$ raped this local kids 01 Cobra from a DIG

Yeah, it was my fault. The first message on this forum I just put 750. It was acutally a BMW 750, people thought I ment a bike. I just laugh when I go against bikes because they are ridiculously fast, almost stupid fast. But they are awesome toys and I want to get one soon.

A buddy of mine has an 06 Sti, we've gone head to head from a dig, it's pretty neck and neck. But he's just a more experienced shifter than I am. I trully believe on the highway the 01 cobra can take the Sti and even an Evo. I went on the highway with an Evo, after 10 seconds we stopped gaining on eachother and I was half a car length ahead of him, but then I had to take my turn off the freeway.

i assumed he meant BMW from the get go. there's not a whole lot of cars around that will hold with a bike....there are some that will come close 0-60. but i dont get cocky enough to even think about messing with them.
