Guys I ran across a guy who has an S281 it's a new edge, not sure what year, at a softball game last night. I am not really familiar with performave numbers on these cars, but can an 01 Cobra run with one these in a heads up race? It was a nice looking ride. Also does Saleen or Roush work on Cobra's ? or just the GT.

well you need to find out if its just the 281 motor and not superchagered. Because they make them either way. I believe they just do GT's.

Saleen collaborated with SVT on a few Saleen Cobras (rare though....probably 8 - 12/year at the height of their years working together). Thirty-two valve engine with all the Saleen trim, etc.... Every once in a while you can catch one being sold on e-bay. As far as I know, SVT and Roush haven't collaborated yet, but I admittedly know less about Roush's history.

It appears as though I may have just been "schooled". Thanks for the info. Yellowcobra....I know even less about Roush history than I thought [:-]!

come on you can't fool me. Thats a cobra with the body kit of a roush on it. Trust me if roush but his name on a cobra then it would have a very large roush supercharger on it. ALso you can tell from the rear bumper. Its a stock 03/04 bumper with the 3m taped on body kit. As for the side exhaust, you can get a set put on anywhere as long as you got money.

ohh and the pic showing the rear bumper, the body kit and bumper and the rest of the car is two different colors, LOL dont you think if they would have put all that stuff on at the roush factory then it would be the same color, come on man think about it. SVT has never done any cars with roush. Thats like joining the KKK and then going to the BET music awards. If you think about it we are all human like mustangs then some are white, cobras or roush (im not pregidous), and the others are black. They dont mix. Ok well there are some that mix but thats not what im getting at. They mixed after humans were spawned. Not in the process.

I would like to seen pics of the Saleen SVT. I went out on the Web and could not find Squat on it. I would think that it is a pretty Bas A$$ car. I always though that Ford SVT shied away from partnering with Saleen or Roush, because the Cobra was to suppose to be a factory showcase of performance, and also to make SVT a viable option in the performance game. The SVT Cobra was more of car to compete with the Roush's and Saleens? So back to my orginal question. N/A S281 New Edge body. can a 99/01 take it?
