The Cobra R has its draw backs, it may have a high power/liter output but its still WAY nose heavy and even with all its weight reduction is only 100 lbs lighter than the 03 cobra (both are still heavy as poo)...the 03 cobra makes the same amount of power the R does more efficiently...basic facts of a supercharger and smaller engine...but i think what David_k was trying to say was...

The overall design of the 00 cobra body is to incorperate suspension and downforce, overall it has better suspension due to the brakes, springs, struts/shocks (which ive heard are remote canister), rear and power control. The body incorperates splitters to increase it's overall performance at the track...
the 03 on the other hand has a daily driver in mind in which the springs can not be as stiff and the power has to be a little more managable (im pretty sure the 00 cobra computer is a beast while the 03 has tables and scalars to limit overall performance)...besides, they have to worry about more safty issues on the 03 because the 00 was designed as a track car predominatly
