Buying an 01 Cobra Sight unseen. Need advice on getting car inspected and shipped.

Found my wife's new 01 cobra, BLACK and 24k!!! But it's 1400 miles from me and I can't go see it. How can I make sure this car is a good one? My plan is to call the guy, call a dealer and arrange an inspection. How much should pay for this procedure and how much for shipping 1400 miles? I've never bought a car like this so I need to make sure I don't make a mistake. Thanks for the help

the shipping will be around $1500 because my friend bought a supra and it was just over $1000 to ship it and he did what u r thinking about doing and calling to where the person lives and find a dealer and get the owner to take it there and have them call you to tell u if there is anything wrong with the car. but i just bought my self a 2001 cobra with 60,000 miles n i love it!!!
