Just curious -- SVT Cobra engine in a V6
Hey guys, I'm just curious -- would it be possible to fit a Cobra engine in a V6?
I know you'd new mounts, but would it actually fit?
I was just thinking that if I'd have to spend at least $10k to sell my car and get a Cobra, yet it would cost $5k for the Cobra engine, why not just upgrade the engine?
I know, I know, Cobras have a 6-speed tranny, different suspension, brakes, etc. etc. I'm just curious.

I've seen it done in a magazine, ill see if i cant find it but in short, you'll need the engine, mounts, ecu and a few other things if i can remember...the brake booster (ours is power assisted from the powersteering unit)...it can be done but it may not be worth the time, ill see if i cant find that article...

You'll need to acquire the motor, not to mention all the mounting hardware imagineable, then need to work the suspension to handle the added weight. You'll need to find a transmission that won't be torn apart like a wet paper bag the first half throttle run & you'll need a worthy rear end that won't be laying 30 feet behind the car. In the end you'll spend upwards of $10k.
