You had to of used higher performance parts. Werre talking a stock rebuid ive seen where u can already get them remained for 3 grand.
You must remember with a factory rebuild you do not replace everything, You check tolerances on rods, crank pisons, valves, and only replace IF needed.

damn 11.5!! you could have found a Mid mileage 99up for a little more...
I got my 96 with miles for half the price, I dont car if the motor goes south anytime soon(which its not) thats all thatwould go wrong and It wont even cost like 3000 to rebuild the right way.

wow.. just purchased a 96 two days ago with almost the same set up. Outer pulley on the crank and a bbk throttle body, crazy camber plates etc..
mine has 60k on it... SHOULD I BE CONCERNED, have you had any problems, thinking I may get out of the deal before something goes wrong..

if you have the outer pulley too than im thinking it may be a stock setup, it seems like it doesnt come out far enough to run up to a blower, anyway i only put 500 miles or so on it so far. but i guess the cars can take it, i just hate buying cars that were beat on.

Mine doesn't look like it comes out far enough either. Although I have never seen one(blower) in person. I would feel better if I knew it was stock, have you found any pictures of stock engines(crank) to compare . Does yours have a huge water pump pulley? off the subject but...Do you think I have a chance of passing emissions with an off road pipe?
