well i would do that to see if it eliminates the problem, just get those 2 i bought the kit that comes with the rear bushing too, but it will not get put in anytime soon, you have to take the whole pighead out to get it. I thought my rearend was bad too, felt like a lot of backlash but it was the bushings.

Coby, could you tell me where you got your bushings from?. Also, how hard of an install was this?. Any pointers you can give me on how you went about doing this will greatly help me.

I just got the polyurethane bushings they'll do just fine for you plus their pretty cheap. There is also aluminum bushings but you dont necessarilly need that stiff of bushings unless your building a track car etc. The polys also reduce the amount of wheelhop so this way your protecting your axil as well. Polys were installed in the 03 cobras. Our cars were the guinea pigs for the IRS and this was the main prob along with the 28 spline halfshaft. This is why most of the cobra owners that reply to any IRS trouble related forums mostly likely own a 99 model. Well good luck with the fix.
