Default back tires keep wearing out Why is this

My car keeps eating my back tires. The center treads wear and go out from there. Only have about 5k miles on Fuzion Zri's. Never abused them had car aligned twice and they have been properly balanced since new. My car ate my last set of tires just as quickly. Also I get alot of feedback to the wheel from dips etc in the road. My fuzions are already smooth in the center of tires in the rear and also not wearing properly in the front. Could all this be related and if so where do I start to fix this. Thanks for any input.

Could it be that your car is RWD?? lol just kidding. I agree with the psi its winter sow your tire pressure will be lower because cold air is more dense. You dont have to check it every day but once or twice a week is good so you dont loose gas milage, power and even tire tread. The feedback is probably because of the IRS (Independent Rear Suspension). Are your tires "hoping" side to side? If they are its the IRS.

Or.. have you hit any potholes recently? If it feels like your riding in the back of a schoolbus, your shocks are probably shot. Not severely enough to make your car drop, but enough to make the ride unpleasant.

That wouldn't explain the tire eating though.. I suppose if its cold in your area, like they bothsaid above ^ its prolly low psi in the tire. Not sure. Is the wear in any specific area of the tire? If it is you might be looking at a more serious problem.

If your driving performance tires, I'd say switch em out for a good set of winter tires. That is, if your area is cold and snowy.

psi is good. Was running them at 31.5 but since the cener is wearing so bad i dropped the rear to 24 and its still eating the tires. Cars never been lowered and stock camber kits. Maybe lower and new caster camber kits for the rear. I just dont wanna waste the money on the camber kit unless im sure ittl fix the prob

LOL- My first thought was-keep your foot out of it.
With a high degree of certainty believe you have overinflated rear tire pressure. With a wide footprint on a "light" body, pressure need not be very high. Usually the front will need to be considerably higher than rear as not much in the back. Was seeing gal tht owned one of the little Chevy Extreme PU which had wide tires all round. It did take some sorting out to get pressures "right" on the back wheels. Think we finally decided on about 22 rear and about 28 front.

All the above is based on the assumption that the aspect ratio is correct and tire width is appropriate for wheel.

Factory Rims and Same size tires as original Maybe a bit lower profile but same width. Think im gonna go with new caster camber kit and lowering springs and two new tires(same kind) Anybody have any other suggestions of anything else that may need to be replaced while im at it.
