i am planning on having long tubes installed but i dont know if there legal in california or not can anyone tell me more about the emssions and long tubes and would i be able to pass smog with them on

I was stationed in Norcal for 4 years and I saw a few with long tubes, one was highway patrol so... I would say YES, they're legal! Just make sure you have cats on.

There was a question of this on another site I go to. Apparently long tube headers on the SN-197's move the the cats to another spot, and there was a question on this being legal? Someone said they thought it was illegal to move the cats from the factory spot, is this true?

Long tube header is not legal in any state.

are you sure because people say that as long as you have cats your fine so are long tubes with cats considered illegal
