The major negative about the IRS stock setup is the wheel hop problem. Inside the IRS, it comes with rubber bushings from the factory. However, these rubber bushings cause too much forward/backward movement of the wheels under hard acceleration, causing "wheel hop" as it feels like your rear wheels are bouncing or hopping and the car isn't moving forward. There is a white nylon bushings kit from Maximum Motorsports to completely fix this problem. Also, I've heard that certain components in the IRS are prone to breaking under extremely hard acceleration (like if your Terminator is strictly a drag strip car). Quite a few Terminator owners who drag race their cars and have ungodly amounts of hp and torque to the rear wheels have switched out the IRS for a standard live rear axle.

As far as the Eaton supercharger overheating, I've never heard of this problem. I haven't experienced this problem personally in the two Terminators that I've owned (past and present).

03 Cobra low miles - 24/25K
03 Cobra high miles 19-21K
04 Cobra you can add on 3-5K!

I just upgraded my bushings, springs and switched out the 12mm bolts to 14mm bolts and wheel hop is minimal now.

Get either year, but buy it with low miles and little/no mods. You don'twant to buy a car that's beentuned improperly and running too rich or lean. The only thing that kept me from buying one was the heavy clutch (my wife is a petite 5'2" and couldn't push down the clutch without practically standing up).

The 03-04 Cobras are awesome. I went on a cruise with a couple of them and some were running 500rwhp with just a couple mods. The power you can put in those things is INSANE. I'd love to buy one, but my wife wouldn't let me have a 4th car...

to prevent the overheating of the blower u should get a bigger aftermarket heat exchanger, which u can get from lethal perfomance ay a good price. just whatever u do DO NOT order parts from rpmoutlet I've had a bad experience there and so did other people in the forums.

No major differences from 03 to 04. Just the color choices varied.
