Default 04 Cobra hesitation at WOT shift

Hey guys I have an 04 Cobra with 19k miles on it. I am having an issue with the car when I shift it under medium to heavy acceleration. After I make a shift and hit the gas again the car hesitates for a split second then it goes back to full power. I've been told that this is an issue on some cobras but I am not sure. The car pulls all way to redline in each gear under WOT it just hesitates after each shift. Any ideas?

Some Cobras did develop this issue, there was a TSB on it. I can't remember what it was. I'll research it.

if you have a ported blower esspecially, you can have problems with the pprv valve in the gas tank, it causes your fuel pressure to drop drastically under wot shifts, it can be romoved and is not to tough i guess. i haven't done it though so i don;t know what exactly is needed or involved in the process.

I called the guy who previously had it and he said the blower was a stage 2 ported so I guess I need to remove mine sometime soon. I had never heard of this issue before. Does your Cobra do anything like this?

some times it is just in the tune, but i would say about 50% of cobras have a problem with the pprv valve especially as they near the 500rwhp mark. i am not 100% on the orocess and parts needed, but i know you have to drop the gas tank, and you remove the pprv walve for some assembly and replace it with rubber fuel hose. i will see if i can find the thread on our club forum from one of the guys that did his around here.

Ive never heard of that happening just because you get to the 500rwhp mark. Mine never did it with the ported blower. If the car has a BAP that could be the reason.

Do the pprv valve removal and you will fix the hesitation instantly.

that is probaly the reason but most cars with the ported blowers are nearing the 500 hp mark. and as a result also have the bap to deliver the added fuel needed. the pprv just doesn't allow for the proper fuel to get through, if you data log as you drive you will notice a severe drop in fuel pressure during shifts esspecially at wot.
