Insurance on my Cobra isn't very much more then my GT... I was 21 when I got my Cobra from my 04' GT... and I had an increase of a whooping 20 bucks a month. Get a VIN# from a Cobra (any Cobra) and do an insurance quote to see what you'd be paying... all cobras are the same really... no real options... well except for hardtop vs vert.

The advange the Terminator has over the blown GT is this... the Cobra block comes forged with a T56 6spd .... not that crappy 3650... and not with those internals thatcould blow at it's current power level.

Let me put it to you this way.

My cobra is currently running a N/A setup, and I leave the turbo SRT-4's 3-4 lengths behind me. Several times.

SRT-4 is not what everyone hypes it up to be. Its a turboed dodge neon with a weak turbo and an limited/underpowered stock turbo and computer system. Granted with work they can pull decent times, but hell, any car can with a little work.

right now I am 17, but by the time I would be able to get a Terminator I would proably be about 21. I know that a lot of people who get regular neons do an engine swap adn put the SRT-4 engine with turbo into their neon. Can a Cobra engine be put into a GT? (Years 99-04) I figure it this way, right now you can get a 04 GT for 14-18k. I can afford that earlier than 21. Maybe in two or three years cause my dad wants me to pay off my car first, keep it stock for a little while to save money and then start getting upgrades.

An engine swap can be done but you might as well buy a 03-04 cobra for the price it'll cost you to do it properly.

Yeah I thought that is what you would say, that is why I didn't do the Neon to SRT-4 swap...

can you answer me a quick question please. If you go with long tube headers, can you use a regular catted x-pipe or do you need a shorty x-pipe that keeps stock cats and 02 senor?

i think you just eliminate the upper "arms" from the mid-pipe and the headers just go straight into the body of the mid-pipe.i think thats how it is for the prochamber anyway.

bythe time you turn 21 i 4 years there will be some other car out there that you want more than a cobra morthan likely. i wuold just keep the plans to minimum and save some money and decide what to do with it then. 4 years is alot of time to change your mind.

Oh, and then two of my friends that have mustangs have differing options on something and I would like a definite answer. One of them thinks that you should get a tuner module first, like the DialoSport Predator, while the other says that full exhaust and intake should come first. So which should be first?

i persanlly wuold do the exhaust and intake first, then tune it with the hand held to get the maximum pick up for the mods. if you are doing it on a gt a tune probaly isn't necessary for just I/E but if it is a termi you should definitly be lloking to give oit some kind of tune aftet installing those mods.
