Default Does anybody use their cobra as a daily driver?

I'm thinking about getting a cobra.. but I'd be using it as a daily driver. I don't have another car to drive. Perhaps it's not what cobras are intended for, but if I got an 01 cobra for 14k, that's about the price you spend on a regular daily driver anyway.

I use mine as a DD. Of course it really will never get driven in snow, because my wife is a teacher and when it snows she stays home and I take the explorer. It would be hard switching to a fuel efficent vehicle with no power, I say go for it.

Yeah... I use to use mine as a daily driver. Then I bought a little 2000 S-10 just for better gas mileage. I never had any issues with mine until I took it on the track this past weekend. If you buy one with an IRS... don't race it until its braced... and if you get wheelhop... LET OFF when it first happens!!

Don't get a Cobra for a DD....Get something with better MPG and will keep your insurance down. Your wallet will thank you for it later.

I drive mine as a DD and have no problems with it.

Gas is a little rough, but its the price you pay to drive a beast like a Cobra.
I figure your only young once.

Mechanicially the car runs so strong that it wont matter if you drive it every day of the year. Just dont take it out in winter if you live in a area that gets snow.

One thing you shouldnt ever do is buy a cobra and make her a trailer queen. God I want to slap people that do that. Its a car, it was meant to be driven.

I DD mine. rain, snow, high-gas prices can all go to hell. Its not a cheap car to DD. Gas milage is horrible even without your foot in it (dont say its not. My T/A was a hell of a lot more fuel-efficient) and insurance is rediculous. But just about the only time I have to myself is my commute to work and back, so I want to enjoy it. Get yourself a set of winter tires on crappy rims for the winter season and you'll be good to go.

I dont really daily drive mine... but its not a garage queen or trailor queen either. I drive a lil 00' 4banger ranger to work and back cuz it has to sit out in the sun all day long. I keep the cobra in the garage while I'm at work. When I get home and I need to go out somewhere... as long as it doesnt look like its gonna rain, I'll drive the cobra. Weekends are set aside for some track time with the cobra so I'm enjoying mine

I just dont see how some people can garage their cars and never drive them... I payed good money for mine, I'll be damned if its just gonna sit in my garage and rot away[&:]

hmm well.. I use mine to drive everyday, and it's not to bad on gas, and insurance only cost me another 20 bucks or so, over my 04' GT.. which is now actually cheaper then my GT because it dropped :-)... Gas milage on hte 03' I get around 16-17mpg city.. and I dont drive it like a crazy man, so i normally get decent milage out of it...

I like the fact that i have really an 11 sec daily driver, it's a great thing to know

I drive mine every day even in 2 " of snow!! It really sucks , I cringe every time I go to work because my car wasn't made to be putting 50 miles on it a day! The gas I can deal with but like I said it the mileage that I'm concerned with. As soon as I sell the fox I'm getting A 1990 Escort GT as a daily driver. I used to have one as my first car it I loved it. Cheap to drive 37 MPG a little sporty and not the slowest thing out there.
