96-01 cobra trap speeds?

96-01 cobra trap speeds?
My first quistion is are the 96-01 cobras basicaly the same motor or does the 99-01 cobra have a little more power? If there the same, what do they usually trap in the quarter mile average around stock?
The reason I ask is because in the mach 1 section there is a guy basically stock (not including cut out cats) that trapped 103.5mph in the 1/4... very impressive IMO and I was wondering if the cobra's trap the same.
I have gears and full exhaust and I only trapped 101mph... Is there a big difference in the mach 1 and cobra when It comes to weight and motor differences?

Gears will actually drop your trap speed provided you get traction.
Personally, I've seen a guy at my track running 101-103mph in a Mach 1 with a cat-back only. As for 96-01 Cobra's, from what I've seen the Mach is a touch quicker. My buddy could only trap 99-100mph in his 98 Cobra...
It's all in the driver. In my 02 GT, I had 4.10's, shorties, mid-pipe & I was trapping higher than you.
