Nah 600rwhp is fine... dangerzone starts at 700...

Guys, thanks for the input. I just bought the car on Saturday. Running @ 13psi is pretty pointless, although the car is nuts fast for me. I plan to get retuned in the near future. :-) Just not sure how high to go... maybe 17psi. Seems like the magic rwhp is 600 before you endanger throwing rods or damaging piston heads. I'm running stock injectors/fuel pump/coolant system too.

u guys are nutts (not in a bad way) but a few people that i know are running way way more hp than 700 with 24 lbs of boost and nitrous. Its not too hard on these engines to daily drive at 700+. I personaly have never herd of anyone blowing an 03-04 cobra stock longblock. I have herd of peoplebreaking valve springs from over reving and blowing headgasktes at 32 lbs of boost on a twin turbo kit with almost everything and pushing high high rpm's on a freeway race. You just need the right ammout of fuel to go along with the added air and no problems should come up. Really what do people put into other cars when they decide to go with foged internals? Exactally what are in our cars... Let me know if anyone has herd of a termy engine blowing with less than 800hp that wasn't doing something stupid and that had a good tuner with the right parts and i will be amazed!!! but good numbers and guy with the whipple 2.3 you can put 24 lbs of boost with no problems. 60lb injectors fuel pump(or a boost a pump) and pressure reg. and your set. Let me know if you need those i have great deals on them like really good deals.

You haven't heard of a 03/04 Cobra motor blowing??? You say you have great deals? Do you have a shop??
I have seen them blow before, at close to 800rwhp... We weren't saying its going to blow but 700rwhp is where the reliability goes out the window... 800rwhp is where it really starts getting dangerous.. but it's all in the tune most of the time...

Running a whipple at 13psi is not pointless. it made 50rwhp more than my ported eaton did at 15psi and about 25rwtq. All he needs to do is change the pulley and the boost is there.

Firts off i get my deals where i get my deals thats just it. I dont have a shop. What went on that cobra the blew up at 700+ hp?(rods pistons crank) And i didn't say they were reliable but they could run lots of hp with out the engine blowing. Those cars that i know of that run lots of hp are well taken care of and arn't really ran that much at that hp and smashing all the time and they very often have their fuel pressure sensors go out... and it is all in the tune.
