to buy on not?
Hey guys never been in here, usually hang out in the fox section, anyway, I have run into alot of problems with my fox. The motor now needs a rebuild as well as the blower. I am thinking of parting it out, or selling it like it is and picking up this 03 termi in town. Is is the exact color i want, and i have been obsessing over termiantors for three years. The guy wants like 23k for it, it has like 66XXX on the clock, ported blower, aftermarket heat exchanger, maf, headers, CAI, full exhaust etc..... BUT, the car has had the motor replaced. He said the motor ran out or oil or something. He also said he has all the documentations that the motor was professionally replaced, and is still under factory warranty. I am going to test drive it tomorrow, are tehre any things i should look for, and what should i offer him for the car?

RE: to buy on not?
In a car with that kind of repair & work done - you just need to get in it and drive. We really can't offer any sort of judgement...many cars when they are repaired are better than new. Sometimes they are absolute junk.
If he has the receipts to prove quality work & the car checks out fine, argue with the price a bit & buy it if it's in good shape.
For 23k though....I have an 04 Cobra with farrrrrrrrr less miles for about 4 grand more....

RE: to buy on not?
I had the same problem about a month or 2 ago. I sold my Fox and bought a bone stock 03 Cobra from the orginal owner. I like itso muchmore than the 92 gt I had, and I was a hardcore Foxbody fan for years. These cars are alot different in many ways but better, All the advice I can give you is take your time a look around for awhile, 03-04 Cobra's are hard to find around where I live so it took me a long time to find the one I wanted. As far as the car you are going to look at, I wouldn't buy it but thats just me. I like them all stock so I can do the work myself, and 23k seems a bit high for the miles.

really dont know on this one. if he doesnt know how much hp he has, he probably didnt get it dyno tuned, so it might be running really lean with the ported eaton on a stock computer. so really dont know.
