I purchased a 99 cobra and I have read in someone's post that some 99 and 00 cobra's came with an aluminum block like the older 96-98 cobra's. Is this information true? and if so, how would I go about finding out if it does?

your 99 does have an aluminum block. Only question is if it was produced by Teksid, or WAP.

Just by looking at them, the Tekskid has a square pattern and the WAP has a diamond pattern. I got lucky and got a teksid in my 01.

do you know what the build # is on your '01? It'd be nice to put together a list of the 01 cars that got the Teksid.

teksid is a better block. it was built to whithstand 1000+ hp. WAP are rated at around 600 hp. Teskid is the same company that builds the blocks in highend cars, like Ferrari
