Default New to site...looking for an 03/04 Cobra

Hey guys...I'm new to this site. I recently sold my 05' Subaru STi, and now in the market for an 03/04 Cobra. I basically don't know the difference between my butt, and a hold in the ground when it comes to these cars. Are there any major difference (performance wise) between the 03's and 04's? I have lurked the site, and did some research on them. Words of wisdom? What would you pay for an 03' w/ 15k miles, that has a rebuilt title for flood damage??? Thanks for having me on this site!

-Shane

no real difference, and depends. what all was damaged and how does the car look. for a car like that with a clean title i would expct to pay 26-27k, but it depends on the market in your area too.

these cars are 300k+ mile engines, just save some loot and buy a high milage one, i bought mine, 60,000miles for 20,000$ car is in mint condition are runs like a monster, and ive had 0 problems (untill i started modding lol)

trust me buy a high milage 03/04 and you will be fine BE SURE TO FIND A STOCK ONE as people like to turn the boost up without chipping/tuning and they blow the engine

stock cobras are very fast, high 12s/13.0s all day, once you learn to hit 3rd not to mention i took my car stock upto 160 [:-] probly was going a bit faster but speedo only goes to 160

Thanks for the tips. I've never driven a cobra...yet. My I ran a best 12.4 in my STi; therefore, I hope the Cobra impresses me...which I'm sure it will. I decided not to pursue the 03' w/ the flood damage. Any car w/ a jacked up title is going to be a pain in the @$$ come time to sale.

Flood damage car...........NEVER TOUCH IT!!! Water and cars dont mix well. Take your time and look around Go to www.svtperformance.com and read the Terminator section. You will learn tons. And I agree try to find a higher mileage STOCK cobra. That is what I did I bought mine for $17,000USD. I love it Torch Red convertible!!! Trust me you will not be disapointed with a 03/04 cobra. either year is fine to get.

Getting ready to put mine on Autotrader, 03 anniv. convert. 20,100 miles basic mods with tune, (Roll/Light Bar) Black, no dents scratches etc. Steeda sport springs, pully, cold air, stainless steel exhaust, maf, computer, great tune, never seen rain. My third SVT and this one is above and beyond the most famous. Get you one, no disappointments.
