Rearend Differencial w/Synthetic vs. Regular Gear lube

Default Rearend Differencial w/Synthetic vs. Regular Gear lube

I have a question if I were to go with Amsoil rearend Differencial fluid along with the Friction modifiyer would i need to use a gasket instead of the silicon gasket material(RV high temp black) because Ive heard that using synthetic oil causes the silicon to eventually start leaking versus having a gasket for the cover.. Thanks everyone
