03 Cobra Crank Pulley and Tuner
I just picked up my third 03 cobra. Kept buying and selling. Now I know I want to keep this one. Picked up 03 cobra conv with 41k on it for 19400. Definately found this one really cheap only needed tires. I have a 9 inch crank pulley with idler pulley that I pulled off my second 03 cobra. Problem is when I had it on my last one I had alot of problems with the belt jumping off and trashing the inside of my hood. That cobra had a front end collision from what I understand. Could that have bent something to make the crank pully not line up right or do you think it was something with the machinery of the aftermarket pulley? Im kind of sketched out about putting it onmy most recent 03 cause of the hassel i went through with the last one. This one I own now has never had any accidents or anything so I think I might try it. I have a diablosport tuner with it. Is it safe to put the aftermarket crank pulley and tune without intake or exhaust??? PLEASE HELP!?!?! Also I am about to put some gears in. I was thinking 390s cause I had 430s in my last one and it was just a little to steep. It did haul A$$ though. Any thoughts on that?

those are way steep, i wouldn't really go more than a 3.73 honestly, you should be able to tune just fine with what you have. not much sense in doing a lower with out a ported blower though. I ahave never had a problem with the belt coming off on my lower, must have either been a bad pulley, relatd to the wreck or maybe just not a tight enough belt i guess.

I had it installed by a mechanic here at the ford dealer and we messed with it for about 2 days off and on trying to get the stupid thing to stop wobbling. We tightenedthe beltrediculously a couple times and it still didnt help. I plan on getting an intake soon. Whats the best on the market? I know the K&N is awesome but is there anything better? Should I go withthe intake that goes in the fender?
