Got a 99 cobra and threw a rod bearing. I've decided to forge the engine by buying new pistons and rods. What parts besides those and rings and pins will i need. Anything else I need to get or look out for? This will be the first time rebuilding the bottom end but i've got a lot of experience on the top end and mechanically in general. What else do I need to get/look for?

It may actually be around the same price with less headache to just order a shortblock from a MMR, or another company.

i was gonna mention that, but figured naw.[8D]
+1 mmr has built motor's for all hp levels. yuo can choose a regular 4.6, 4.6 bored to a 5.0, or a 5.4 motor

I'm going to buy new pistons and rods, the crank will be reused unless it is damaged. Even buying the pistons, rods, and crank it will only cost 1300-1500. Much cheaper than a short-block. I'm also going to buy a stock eaton s/c off an 03/04 cobra and I'm wondering what power levels i can reach without replacing things, esp the transmission. What will my stock T-45 hold? Would it hold the stock boost from the eaton? What is going to break first?
