Default thinking of buying SVT help

hey guys im thinking of making a little jump from a sixxer to a SVT.... i found one for a great price... im going to look at it ethier today or tomarrow.....

its a red 99....

I was wondering if you guys can give me any tips or things to look for before i buy...

any help would be great thanks guys

look for any modifications. If you find any, start to get scared.


no, seriously though just look for signs of abuse or lack of maintenance.

Do the normal "routine" for checking out buying a car. Make sure it's a good investment, talk the price down etc....

Also open her up a little on the highway if you can take a test run.

if you arer serious take it to your local ford dealer and have them look the whole thing over. i did that and it cost me $80, i think it was worth it.

Listen for a tick, if you hear one walk away and never turn back. Also. lol at u saying little jump... hate to see what a big jump would be.

there was a recall on the 99's, there was a problem with the upper and lower intake manifold, the 99's only put out 290 horse, after the recal fix they put out 305hp
