Default new svt owner first upgrades?

ok guys and gals finally found my dream car and now i want your opinions. sorry if this gets long winded .last week i baught a 1996 svt cobra convertable for $7800. it has 115000 miles i am the 3rd owner originally was a company car for transporting clients(who does this with a cobra?) that was the first 99000miles the second owner was a rolce royce collector and used it as daily transportation back and forth to his garages. the point of all his is that despite the miles the motor and car have never been abuse and is still bone stock and i have all the documents o prove this. performance wise what would be the best mod for the money here?

I put LT headers and 3:73 gears in mine! Huge difference. If you plan on eliminating the IMRC plates in the near future which usually carbon up and give troubles to more than half the people at some point. Romoving them will net you a slight tq loss on the low end and I would suggest going with 4:10 gears. I put the 3:73's in my car when it was just the stock gt with a 2v motor and it was good but the cobra motor lags a little bit. Def. go with 4:10's especialy if you decide to do the IMRC delete.

ok seems from everything everyone has said and that i have read (and im sorry if this is a repost question) but what performance numbers will i get over factory as far as acelleration and soonif i go to 4:10's. also what difference will gas milage come out to? Iaverage around 22mpg now mostly highway but with a heavy foot. also cant get rid of the cats where i live (but i can go with high flow like pypes or other brand).

Being a Vert it never hurts to have a good weld in set of sub-frame connectors.
