well my pop's got an '01 triple black vert cobra we bought new in '01 and its his baby. its got 6k miles on it and has never been in the rain or anything. anyways, hes been talking bout getting mufflers, and so thats what i want to get him for christmas. i know it probably wont boost performance any, but thats not what hes concerned about, he just wants a good roar. what i need to know is: what are the dimensions of the stock mufflers, inlet and outlet and what size? i thought it had 3" exhaust from the factory, right? he wants to keep the stock pipes (stainless steel and he cant justify payin for new piping when whats on the car is pretty much new), so i just wanted to swap in new mufflers for him.

next, what mufflers would you get? it only gets driven on sunny days and doesnt see long road trips (obviously from the milage), so i wana get him something pretty agressive and loud. i was thinkin maybe the flowmaster super 40's or magnaflow mufflers. i know everybody and their mom has flowmaster, but i think its a good sound, but havent heard it on a 4valve cobra N/A. what do you guys think? thanks i really appreciate it. sorry this is a long post.

and if you want loud the only thing that come's to my mind is slp 1's

yea i know slp is loud. what are the stock inlet/outlet offsets?

i have test pipes in place if my mufflers and it gives you a really good sound and u still have teh stock look.
