Default 1996 Cobra Front Suspension Question!

I bought my 1996 Cobra last November. It had about 110,000 miles on it. Most of it seemed to be just highway driving. It wasnt driven hard at all it looks like. It also had the Eibach lowering springs on it that lowered it one and a half inches. I was checking it over shortly after I bought it and the inside of the front tires were completely worn down to the threads! Seems like the original owner didnt get it aligned when they put the springs on. So I bought new tires for the front staying with the same size of course. Then I took it to the alignment place and they tried getting it within specs and they couldnt get it right. So I decided to buy a caster/camber plate kit for it. I think its made by UPR? Its a nice set up. All billet aluminum. Well I put the plates on, took it back to the alignment place and they STILL COULDNT get it adjust right. The plates would hit the inner fender frames. So I decided to put the original springs back on which came with the car. Took it back and they FINALLY got it aligned right. So no probs now. BUT......I want it lowered again. Looks weird not lowered. How can I get it aligned right with the lowering springs? I heard something about getting shorter lower control arms? Also heard the fox body lower arms would fit and fix my prob? Any ideas or suggestions would be great. This is my first "Newer" car. Im used to the old muscle cars from the 60's. Thanks for any help!
