Do i stick with 17 inch rims or go with 18s? Any bad things to stay away from? NEED your opinions and expertise on this.

The weight isn't really that much of a killer when you have lowering springs because the force of the springs keeps the extra 5lbs tamed, but the major difference is the smaller tire. I went from a smooth riding car that is lowered 1.5" to 18's and the ride is all shot to hell. I went with the same diameter 26.6" to keep gear specs the same. If you have a 245/45/17 tire. The comparable tire in 18's would be 245/40/18 They are one size smaller in height and trust me it's a big difference!

Unless you got the extra money, I'd just stay with 17's. 18's look good on our cars, but I'd rather have a staggered 17x9 front and 17x10.5 rear on my car. More tire = more traction.

Yeah i would stay with 17's just b/c the tire cost. I just had to order some new rims for my cobra and just went with a set of 10th anniversary rims.
