They made cobras from 1999-2004, and the shelbys in 2005+
However the only 2000 cobras were the cobra R's and the only 2002 cobras were only sold in Austrailia and had a slightly different body style from the 99/01's.

Not 100% but they only made about 300 cobra R's in 2000 and the only 2002 cobras went over seas. The 2002 cobra was right hand drive with another set of fog lights in the bumper. Strange looking things.

Yeah I thought the 2002 Cobra's looked sort of ugly. SVT made Cobra's in 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004. The new ones are Shelby's. The 93's, 95's, and 2000also had a Cobra Rversion. The 2000 was only Cobra R I think. Didn't they not make a regular Cobra for 2000 because they had so many problems in 1999? The 02 Cobra's were all Australian. The 99's were supposed to have problems but you could take them to a Ford Dealership and have that fixed. I don't think any of that info is wrong but it very well could be. lol
