Stronly considering Hooker L/T's

As the subject states, I'm strongly considering purchasing hooker long tube headers for my 2003 cobra. Does anyone know an any problems with them or feel that there's a better option?

Hooker is a good brand, slp and kooks are also great. You going to install yourself?

man, you gonna drop some cash. Hookers aint cheap + the install (unless you do it yourself). I've heard good things about kooks too

I plan on doing the install myself. I've done a fair amount of engine work (cam, headers, shift kit, timing belt, etc.) on other cars so I hope that I can accomplish this job.

Kooks will put a whole in your pocket especially since you have a cobra. still the best headers IMO.

My buddy has the hookers on his 04cobra. Awsome quality, Perfect fit, Me & him installed them. Install took long because we took alot of lunch break to get something to eat or bathroom breaks haha...You will be able to do them urself...Goodluck!

Buddy of mine and his friend put Kooks on his wife's 05 GT. Took them 3 hours with each of them working on a side. On the other hand, I think garages usuallyhit you for 6+ hours for LT install.

Pretty much lt's all sound the same its not like h pipes vs. x pipes. Ive put on 3 sets of lt's on our era mustangs and 2 of those were cobras. The by far easiest way to install them is to drop the k member and jack up the engine with a block of wood or a cherry picker. You can get in that way very easy and it will take you a day or a day and a half. Goodluck take your time and make sure you have good headder gaskets too lol. Ohhh and one more thing you will loose boost psi when you get lt's installed not by much thats why a lot of 03-04 cobra guys don't do them unless they have lotsss of power.

So, just attach my cherry picker to the engine to support it then remove the K-memeber? Sounds like it shouldn't be too tough, what do you suggest for header gaskets?

Also, considering I make modular supercharger pulley systems I shouldn't have much of a problem making up for lost boost!
