Does anyone know what would keep the cooling fan from turning on? The temperature gauge works fine and the fan spins freely by hand. Is there a relay somewhere that could be bad?

CCRM (constant control relay module) It's on the inside of your passenger fender. On the other side of where your MAF sensor is. You need to take the wheel off and pull out the inner liner to access it. I would check your fuses and conections before you get that far!

unplug the plug on the fan its self i found on my buddys car the plug was melted, and wasn't making contact.

Turned out to be the CCRM. Had a shop pull it out and check it. He said it was the first time he'd ever seen one go bad, and all he works on is Mustangs.

I replaced the CCRM on my '98 v6, fan still won't come one..........however, I keep blowing the fan fuse, so what do I need to do? Trace the wiring beginning with the fuse?

Unplug the connector from the fan itself and check the harness... They burn up and melt..

I put the original fuse back in, it's a breaker so it just resets itself.........but figured out my problem, the fan has seized up, so I will have to replace it.
