Just got a 96 cobra vert...but it has a couple of problems not major but problems.....Um the clutch is stiff, is that ajustable?....the oil gauge jumps when running....odom quit (can that be fixed). thanks for your help and time[sm=gears.gif]

The clutch being stiff could be either the clutch cable or the clutch needing to be replaced. If the clutch was adjustible you would only be able to control when it catch's off the floor. Oil gauge problem could be the be the oil pump. How far of a jump are you talking? Is it the speed odometer or the mileage odometer?

well the oil gauge doesnt steady it self...um well have to check the pump then, Thanks. Oh and its the milage odometer the speed odom works fine...Thanks again

If you look behind the face of the cluster there is a gear on the right hand side of the odometer. From what i've found is that sometimes that gear can go bad and that is what turns the miles. Im not sure if they sell just that gear, i think you might have to get the whole cluster or get one from a junk yard. you can remove just the gear and keep you same cluster

I have a 98 and my odometer stopped working butI never bothered with it. The clutch has always been stiff, I even replaced the clutch once and its still stiff... just gives it character[8D] lol

Thanks......ya i think am just going to leave the clutch the way it is, oh by the way what type of motor oil do ya'll use....(the brand). Thanks again
