Default Heat Extractor hood and washing car

I've got an 03 Cobra hood going on next week and have a simple question. With the heat extractor hood it appears that water can get into the engine bay with no problem. When I wash my car is it fine for the water to go into the extractors? Will it mess anything up?

Thanks!

I have a heat extractor hood on my '02, and has not been an issue. The openings are located over some wireing connections, but they seem to be shielded from water. I have driven in heavy rain many, many times and not had an issue.

***HERE***is apic. I have since added hood pins as the hood is quite flexable and think the hood pins are sexy [sm=kiss.gif]

PS. I LOVE the 315's on your car, Mineral Will get them myself later this year when my 295's are dead.

That's good, I guess if it were going to be a problem Ford wouldn't have put them on the Cobras.

No, not at all. I lift my hood up and spray under the hood every other time I wash my cars. All of them. Unless the water will be dripping right onto the alternator, that's all that I would say you need to worry about. All of the wire connectors are all insulated from any sorta weathering.
