RE: whats up with the 96-98 style cobra
i like em. if i had the money and time i would try to find one w/ low miles in decent condition. and also, on the plus side, it sure would be nice just to tell people that you drive a cobra :D

Solid rear axle, higher flowing heads under port/polish than any other production head and decent n/a cams. People just dont know what their talkin about. Besides the crappy internals and transmission, its a stout car, dont let anyone fool ya.

The IRS is just more fun with how I like to drive. Plus I prefer the jagged edges of my 01 compared to the 96-98.

RE: whats up with the 96-98 style cobra
well i guess its all what ppl like. i have a 97 cobra black on black with 60000 miles i picked it up for a little under 8000. its in almost perfect condition. all stock very clean. my favorite Cobra next to a terminator. love the hood and front bumper. sn-95's are my fav. and honestly i dont think theres very many bad things to say about them, its all up to the buyer and what ur looking for. so buy what you want!

RE: whats up with the 96-98 style cobra
Get rid of the jacked up 4WD look with the rear tires set inside the wheel well by a foot and it looks good. Griggs has a nice 98 (I think) Cobra convertible that will eat up just about anyone in the twisties. We all know these cars can be made to excel. The 03/04 just looks mean, though, no denying it. I just don't understand why Ford went through the trouble and expense of putting in the Teksid block and a forged steel crank in the 96-98, but then went cheap on the rods and pistons. I would gladly have paid an extra $1,000 to have the good stuff in from the factory.
