Oil coming out of throttle body?
I was working on my projectsvt when I noticed oil was coming out of the throttle body. Everytime I hit the crank, oil would come gushing down the throttle body. Anybody have any suggestions? thanks.

Oil gushing, not so good. Oil leaking past, somewhat normal because of Ford's idiotic design of PCV system which has no plate below the valve to stop oil entering the pcv valve like there should be. I highly reccomend installing an air/oil seperator. Steeda makes a descent cheap one. Very simple installation and will eliminate your problem. All that oil is coming from the pcv valve and being thrown in your upper intake. Also, you prob have a CAI which I heard somewhere that the backdraft if that's what it's called gets worse so more oil will come back through. I had a similar prob on my N/A cobra. I installed a homebrewed seperator and I burn Zero oil now with a centrifugal installed which I thought would have made it worse! Before it was damn near 1/2quart per 500miles. Now I have driven 300 miles since installation and there's not much in the resevoir and I haven't burned any oil. Steeda's kit is around $80 and looks clean

shake it, shake.shake. shake it like a poloraid picture....lo sorry, corny but I'm bored. Seriously, shake it and if it rattles, your good. However, they are only like $6 at the parts store for a new one.

I would still get a seperator if your are rough on your car though. That stuff happens in higher rpms for the most part.
