The 01 cobra has Independent rear suspension and a forged crankshaft. The 03 mach one has the better flowing 03 cobra heads and the manual version also has a forged crankshaft.The cobra has a cobra on the side and the mach has the shaker hood scoop.The mach can also keep up with an ls1 the cobra cannot. I love cobra's but that year cobra getsits axles handed to it by the mach.It is all about personal preference because they are both really nice cars.(There are also some differences between the cams in the cars the compression and the rear axle gear ratio but they are hardly worth mentioning.)

I would get a 5 speed mach 1 over a cobra ANYDAY! A much better platform, and I don't care much for the irs anyways... I ditched mine for a built solid axle, lol... THE only thing that I don't like about the Mach 1s are that the front bumpers are still the same as a GT, with the addition of a chin spoiler...
Despite being lower in PEAK hp, stock vs stock, the mach 1 will always out run an 01 cobra, considering equal drivers and equal traction...

Man, you guys aren't helping me with any potential buyers
! Besides, 01 cobras arent that bad of vehicles, I have no complaints about mine at all. (selling to build a fox into a strip car)

well ive seen some really nice looking ones. not many though. the front bumper/hood combination was just stupid. those bumpers look much better with a GT hood and the scoop.
plus, the amber in the tail lights is way overrated. it looks much cleaner without it.
