Terminator Question
 

Ok I got a question hoping you guys can help...I'm looking to get my first Terminator, my question is how does it handle? Obviously the raw power is there...how well does it do in corners? I'm not looking to race it pro or anything but maybe an outing to the track now and then. Thanks!

It has IRS which helps it corner... It's not going to break any records but it does handle very well imo... Mine was very tight around tight corners and I had drag radials on it...

From the factory the IRS is softer than it should be but that can be fixed with new bushings. A diff brace helps too.

I have never driven one personally but I have rode in one and they seem tail happy under acceleration in any corner. Which you can fix by getting staggered tires and pulling a little bit more camber up front.

But over all it performs fairly well on the track for a Mustang.

lower that summbitch when you get it. it will handle a tad better. but deff. beef up the irs by changing bushings and getting an irs brace as stated above.

they are a bit tail happy on the track with stock susp.

The irs brace doesnt not change the way it handles, at all... it simply fortifies the differential housing...

Well I was pretty much planning on doing the RED pill setup for the most part and lowering on either H&R Race or Steeda Springs. I'm sure that will help alot.

All of the ones I've seen on the road race tracks tie into the chassis by ball joints they look sort of like a watts link and fight rotation of the diff.

If those aren't diff braces I guess I was misinformed.

Teh IRS brace is attached to the differential cover. As ford put an aluminum cover, it tends to flex and is prone to breakage with a high rpm launches. the irs brace keeps it from flexing. I'd recommend the billetflow brace. it's available in 3 different colors i believe.
