Thumbs up Ford or Aftermarket Blacked Back Headlights for 99 Cobra?

Hi Guys,

I am interested in swapping my stock headlights for the black ones from the 2001 models. I am wondering if the factory Ford lights are as good or better than aftermarket lights? Aftermarket lights seem to be much easier to find than Factory lights. Any help would be appreciated.

if you dont mind having the amber piece inside the head light, go with the ford. most of the aftermarket ones dont last a long time, either they start to leak, or the lens starts to fade. you cant beat the factory on certain pieces, ive purchase many aftermarket headlights and tail light for a lot of my cars/trucks and they have all sucked; apc, icw, euro lights, tucan lights, ect. i bought some smoked headlights from american muscle about 3 yrs ago and so far they havent faded, the only problem is that the inside has started to point down. they are mounted the same way but i have to use my brights so the point straight. its weird. factory ones are pricey though.
