Different title on car??? wtf?
well i was lookin at this 99 cobra the other day and i really like it!
and i am possibly lookin at gettin it...
so i got the vin # off the car and carfaxed it
and it was titled under a 16v v8 mustang GT
but when i carfaxed other 99 cobras they came up as 32v v8 mustang svt cobra!
i have looked over the car and the engine and everything!
its a cobra! also its a roush cobra! the guy said that roush took it and put all the roush
mods it has on it...like body kit, cobra r hood,chrome rims, side exhaust, 4000 $ rear axle job (changed it to a straight axle), dash guages, its been dynoed at 304 rwhp and 300 torque...and a few other mods(gears,cai etc...)
is this normal??

The VIN will say it's a Cobra as it was 32v straight from Ford. Sounds like you either got a number/digit mixed up or, more likely, it is a "Fobroush", sorry 
It would not be worth it to me to convert all that is necessary to be a clone a Roush Cobra, but some have done it.
I would also say, it doesn't make sense that Roush would replace the IRS with SRA. Someone will know for sure.

lol they didnt replace the IRS with SRA....its a mustang gt, it came with a SRA...somebody did an engine swap and added a body kit to it and they want to pawn it off as a cobra to someone who is dumb enough to not vin check it

its a nice car but if carfax says its a GT then it has to be carfax doesnt lie, if you like it get it but dont pay cobra money for it or even roush money its just a GT so u might be able to get a good deal, how much do they want for it?

After the sixth letter which is a 'P' comes '42'. 42 stands for GT coupe. To be a cobra it would be a '46' or '47' for cobra convertible or cobra coupe respectively. Never know may be handy to know. muscularmustangs.com has break-downs of the vin#s. Good luck!
