The only reason I traded my GT for a Cobra was because I basically bought the Cobra for 6k more then my 04' GT and it had much less milage and was a lot newer (at the time)....

i think i might just see what they will give me for my car. i just think is dumb to dump a bunch of money into the gt when if i go to sell it in the future i will just lose all that money.

go see what they'll give you.. I doubt more then 10k in this market -- they're hard to unload.. Depending on how much you owe, I think you're going to lose big...

lets put it this way a 2003 GT 'vert with avg miles (60k) in EXCELLENT condition - which yours isn't becuase it's modified has a trade in value of 9750.00..

Yours is good at 9100.00

which means in order for this to make sense to have a "fast car" you really have to owe next to nothing and then it's still 10k.. for 10k you can build a much better car then a Cobra, and for the 2-3k you have to put into the Cobra to get it to 500rwhp, the 13k into the GT will make it MUCH faster.

Not trying to discourage you - but good luck... you will need it.

Well I guess I'm old (39). I would love to have a vert. The wife and I could cruise on the weekend.

Personally, I am thinking of the speed aspect.. the GT is lighter and you can build a motor as fast as the Cobra cheaper then buying one.. and bury a 500rwhp for the same money spent on it...

especially since his GT isn't paid off.

3rxx good answer. My Gt has now become a project. I could have bought a LS1 camaro, a GTO or maybe even a used vette. Always wanted a mustang. When I saw this one I couldn't pass it up. Once you buy any muscle car you have to set a goal, IMO. My goal is by next April to be running in the 11's (with a 2V).
