Does any one know what the diff is between a 2000 and 2001 and up? according to b&m it say that it fits up to 2000 but whenever i call they said that they are all the same u can use through 2004... but here is my dilemma i have one part number 81001 and it will not set down over the trans tunnel??? so is there a diff just between the tunnels from 2001 and up or is it because mine is a std. car (cobra)???? it like my trans tunnel is too

Are you aware you are trying to put an automatic shifter in a car that comes with a 5-speed manual stock? Unless you have an automatic swap you want a shifter that will fit a TR-3650, like an MGW or Tri-ax.

yes im aware of this.. lol... i am putting a 4r70w with a t/ brake...

Lol, OK. You didn't put that in the original post. You might want to try asking in the 4.6 General section, there are a lot more automatic guys there that may be able to help. FWIW the center consoles changed in 2001, not much but it did.
