01 cobra vs 02 z28?

nopeee. I Have a bunch of f body and ls1 friends. A stalled, full intake and exhaust z28 auto have run 11.6 at 114mph. Then a 150 shot later they are in the deep deep 10's. Its not a driver issue, low 10's is low 10's. And it does take more mods than you think to get a termi into the low low 10's and they are much harder than driving an auto lol.

I hear ya man, lol! I am definitely impressed. I can't show you a Mach 1 running a 12.6 on a DR, but I can lead you to a forum member that was running a 12.5 on slicks. Not sure what his trap was, but I'm sure it wasn't 110 mph.

true, there are people that have done it on street tires i just dont have a video handy. If you watch the launch he reved it up dumped let off, a good driver can cut a similar 60' riding the clutch out a little on a street tire

in bone stock form... tires and all, I have seen Fbody LS1's do 12.8s/9 ... but in VERY rare form...
But I have also seen a stock mach 1, run a 13.0 or a 13.1 (can't remember)... it's just even more rare.. and it's only because the Fbodies are more plentiful then the Mach 1's... and while the fastest stock fbody is faster then the fastest stock Mach 1.. it's pretty damn close...
And it's really not that difficult or expensive to get a Terminator into the 10's... Suspension and a ported blower will do it... The LS1 will do it with less power due to the weight of the car.. but think about it... the LS1 with nitrous has a bigger motor and a power adder, versus the car with a power adder.. so yes they have the advantage... You take a Ported Cobra + nitrous itself.. and it'd blow the doors off the H/C/I Nitrous LS1, providing they can get traction ...
This argument is really getting bad... Out of 10,000 Fbody LS1's made.. maybe 2 of them can go 12's in stock form.. it has to be right: Weather, Gear, transmission, driver and track conditions...

That might be technically true, but if you go by that logic, all bone stock LS2 GTOs are capable of a 12.8, all New Edge GTs are capable of 13.7, 06+ Civic SIs can run low 14s, all Mach 1s are capable of a 13.0, etc. Its not really accurate to rely on a few glory runs.

Because the Fbodies had different exhaust, gearing and transmission options.
You can't tell me that a Fbody with the 3.08 rear gear.. (not sure if that's what it is 100%, but i know it's down there) is going to run the same time with the same car with a 3.42 rear gear if all things were equal. That a M6 and an A4 are going to run the same time --- and the autos are typically faster in those cars...
Not all Fbodies are capable of 12.9's in stock form... It depends on the package.
